IPOH: A FIFA-standard synthetic football field developed at the Advanced Technology College (ADTEC) under the Department of Manpower (JTM), Ipoh Campus, serves a dual purpose not only benefiting the campus community but also the surrounding local community.
Director-General of JTM, Datuk Rospiagos Taha, said the construction of Arena ADTEC Ipoh is the result of a strategic collaboration between ADTEC JTM Ipoh Campus and MFS Teguh Jaya.
It is understood to be the first synthetic football field of its kind in the city of Ipoh.
“ADTEC JTM Ipoh Campus continues to carve its own history with the successful development of the Arena ADTEC Ipoh synthetic football field.
“This marks an important milestone in the development of sports infrastructure at the campus.
“At the same time, it strengthens the institution’s commitment to providing high-impact facilities for both the campus community and local residents,” he said.
He was speaking after officiating the opening of the field at ADTEC JTM Ipoh Campus here on Monday.
Meanwhile, he noted that the FIFA-standard synthetic football field aligns with the successful implementation of several high-impact JTM projects in the past.
Among them are the KITA Wind Turbine at the Kuala Terengganu Campus and the KITA Catamaran Boat at the Marang Campus, which reflect an innovative approach to the development of training facilities and skills enhancement.
He also expressed hope that the field would serve as a catalyst for promoting a healthy lifestyle, nurturing sports talent, and creating opportunities for the integration of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) through real-world facilities.
In addition, the facility is expected to strengthen co-curricular activities and enhance community engagement with the training institution.
ADTEC JTM Ipoh Campus is the new name for the Industrial Training Institute (ILP) Ipoh following its rebranding last year.
