KAMPAR – The Kampar District Council (MDKpr) has stepped up efforts to promote a clean environment through the Clean, Healthy and Safe Business Premises Programme (PREBESS) 1.0 held at Taman Kampar Jaya.

The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Taman Kampar Jaya Neighbourhood Watch Committee (KRT).

Activities focused on cleaning areas surrounding neglected business premises and encroached land.

The location had been used as a dumping site for second-hand items by one of the business premise owners.

Seizure action was taken against the owner of the premises involved.

Compounds were also issued to other shop owners for failing to renew their business licences and for offences under the Kampar District Council Trade, Business and Industry By-Laws 2017.

MDKpr called on all parties, especially owners of business premises and residential properties, to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their respective areas.

Premise owners should not allow their properties to remain dirty or abandoned, as this may cause nuisance to neighbouring residents.

All parties must ensure cleanliness at their premises, including providing proper waste disposal facilities, or risk being fined up to RM1,000.

Earlier, the programme was attended by MDKpr councillor Mohd Lot Abdul Hamid, who represents the zone, along with Taman Kampar Jaya KRT chairman Yee Chun Sheng, representatives from concessionaire Syarikat Puncak Emas Infra Sdn Bhd, and MDKpr personnel.
