PULAU PANGKOR: The presence of police personnel on duty during festive celebrations not only creates a sense of safety but also instils confidence among the public.
This was evident during the Masimagam celebration at Kuil Sri Pathira Kaliamman Kovil Pari Palanasabah in Sungai Pinang Kecil here, which drew more than 10,000 Hindu devotees, including those from outside Perak.

The High Profile Policing (HPP) programme by Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Manjung was carried out to ensure a visible police presence at the event venue, aimed at safeguarding public safety throughout the celebration.
At the same time, the initiative helped strengthen ties between the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the community.

Manjung district police chief Assistant Commissioner Hasbullah Abd Rahman was also present, mingling with visitors and traders at the event.
He shared brief information on current crime trends and raised awareness of online scams.
Crime prevention leaflets were distributed by the Amanita Squad of IPD Manjung, while members of the public were advised to remain vigilant and prioritise their personal safety.
Visitors were also reminded to comply with instructions from the authorities to avoid traffic congestion and ensure a smooth celebration.
