TAIPING, March 16 — If the national Muay Thai scene is known for its rising star Jojo Ghazali, the same name has now been given to a new resident at Zoo Taiping & Night Safari.
The zoo has named a male Bornean orangutan newborn Jojo. The baby orangutan was born in December last year.

Jojo is the offspring of Veera (male) and Katarina (female).
He also has an older sister named Kasih, who is now six years old.
With Jojo’s birth, the zoo is now home to six Bornean orangutans. The group consists of one adult male (Veera), three adult females (Heaven, Katarina and Wasabi), one young female (Kasih) and the male infant Jojo.
Orangutans are classified as an endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and are protected under Malaysia’s Wildlife Conservation Act 2010 (Act 716).

Visitors are encouraged not to miss the chance to visit Zoo Taiping & Night Safari to see the adorable Jojo, the newest member of the zoo family, who is sure to capture the attention of visitors.
Come and meet Jojo.
