IPOH: A digital library van introduced by the Perak State Public Library Corporation (PPANPK) will deliver mobile library services directly to communities, particularly those in rural areas or locations with limited access to library facilities.

Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said the launch of the van today would benefit many, in line with its concept of “Knowledge at Your Fingertips, Connecting Communities”.

“The PPANPK Digital Library Van is an innovative initiative by the corporation.

“The van functions as a mobile learning centre that combines reading materials, digital technology and interactive educational activities,” he said.

He made this statement after attending the MESRA Customer Meet Day (HBP) programme, organised by the state government at Stadium Indera Mulia here.

According to him, a total of 175 complaints involving various public issues were received during the programme.

“In previous series, we received a total of 285 complaints, of which 236 (83 per cent) have been resolved, while the remaining 49 (17 per cent) are still under further action,” he said.

The programme also featured additional activities, including a low-price sale by Yayasan Bina Upaya (YBU) and Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation.

There were also Rahmah sales by MYDIN and Berkat Jaya, as well as festive cookie sales by six entrepreneurs registered under the Sekretariat Usahawan Negeri Perak.
