Streetlights Installed in Taman Kinta, Abandoned Bus Stop Repaired

GOPENG: Six streetlights have been installed along the main road in Taman Kinta to improve visibility and safety for road users at night.

Teja assemblywoman Sandrea Ng said the improvement was carried out to enhance safety and comfort for motorists and residents in the area.

“Previously, road barriers were also installed as an additional safety measure following issues involving heavy vehicles being parked along the roadside, which obstructed drivers’ visibility and increased the risk of accidents.

“At the same time, the Kampar District Council has reopened a bus stop that was previously left abandoned so that the area would not be misused and can function more properly,” she said.

She added that the effort forms part of continuous follow-up actions based on feedback from local residents.

“We will continue monitoring the situation in this area to ensure the safety of the community is always safeguarded.

“We hope these improvements will benefit residents, especially with Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaching,” she said.
