50% toll discount for Hari Raya starts March 18

KUALA LUMPUR : Travellers heading home or going on holiday for Hari Raya Aidilfitri can breathe a sigh of relief with a 50 percent toll discount.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to help reduce the cost of travel for Malaysians returning to their hometowns.

The toll discount will be effective from 12:01 a.m. on March 18, 2026 (Wednesday) until 11:59 p.m. on March 19, 2026 (Thursday).

It applies to Class 1 private vehicles on all highways, except at the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) Toll Plaza and the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza on the Malaysia–Singapore Second Link (LINKEDUA).

The toll discount will involve a financial allocation of RM21.03 million as compensation to the toll concessionaires.

This marks the second toll discount granted to Malaysians this year during festive seasons, following the Chinese New Year discount earlier this year.
