IPOH: All road excavation works within the administrative area of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) will be temporarily suspended for 12 days to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
The MBI said the measure is taken to reduce road congestion and improve comfort for road users throughout the festive period.
“In this regard, all parties that have been issued permits to carry out road excavation works are instructed to halt such activities from March 18 to 29.
“In addition, all contractors and involved parties are required to ensure that work sites are neat, clean, and safe before the suspension period begins,” it said.
However, for emergency works, the relevant parties may contact the Development Division of MBI’s Public Works Department at 05-208 3469 for further action.
MBI hopes for the cooperation of all parties in complying with this directive for the well-being and comfort of everyone during the festive season.
