IPOH: Since its establishment more than a decade ago, the Perak-based Persatuan Pasukan Keselamatan Rakyat Setia Berjasa Sukarela has actively organised various activities involving people from all walks of life.

Beyond that, the association also aims to help prevent crime while consistently extending aid to asnaf groups across the state.
According to a spokesperson, its members comprise former police and military personnel, Rela members, as well as civilians who have contributed significantly to the community.

Recently, the association carried out several initiatives to spread joy among those celebrating their respective festive occasions.
Among them was a programme to distribute mandarin oranges in conjunction with Chinese New Year, held at several locations in Ipoh, including the Anning Old Folks Home in Ampang Baru and Rumah Seri Bahagia Care Centre in Simpang Pulai.

The distribution also took place at Gunung View Recreational Park in Gunung Rapat as well as the Gunung Rapat wet market.
In addition, the association organised the “Sumbangan Kasih” Ramadan 2026 food aid distribution programme for residents in Manjoi, Silibin and Jelapang in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
