KUALA KANGSAR: The status of Kuala Kangsar as a Royal Town is further strengthened with the establishment of the Royal Gallery of Perak Wakaf, which showcases the history and activities of the state’s royal wakaf institution dating back more than 100 years.
Located in a row of shop lots along Jalan Kangsar, the gallery features various exhibits including articles, photographs, and historical records highlighting the development of the Perak Royal Wakaf.

The Perak Royal Wakaf encompasses several key institutions, including Madrasah Idrisiah, Masjid Ridzwaniah and Makam Diraja Al-Ghufran, as well as commercial assets around Kuala Kangsar that contribute to its sustainability and community benefit.
Recently, Raja DiHilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Zulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah graciously visited the Royal Gallery of Perak Wakaf in Kuala Kangsar.
His Royal Highness was received by Perak State Secretary Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and General Manager of the Royal Gallery of Perak Wakaf, Raja Hazwan Shah Raja Danil Akhsan.

The visit was not merely a formal courtesy call, but also reflected the continuity of the royal institution’s role in strengthening wakaf development in the state.
The wakaf institution has long served as a pillar for heritage preservation, education, and community welfare in Perak.
During the visit, His Royal Highness was briefed on the establishment history of the Perak Royal Wakaf, including its formal enactment in 1917 and its continued relevance as an instrument for community development.
