IPOH: The long wait for residents around Buntong has finally come to an end after five roads in the area, which were previously in poor condition, were recently resurfaced.
According to Buntong State Assemblyman, Thulsi Manogaran, the roads involved are RPT Buntong 4, Solok Buntong Jaya 3, Solok Buntong Jaya 5, Laluan Sungai Pari 14, and RPT Desa Rishah Buntong 5.
He said the total allocation for the road repair works amounted to RM300,000.
“I am pleased to share the good news with all Buntong residents that the road resurfacing works involving five roads in the Buntong area have been successfully completed.
“We always strive to give our best in every matter we undertake.
“Following complaints received regarding the condition of roads in the Indian New Village area, I, together with Buntong Councillor Sivam Kalimuthu, submitted applications and carried out follow-ups through several letters and continuous efforts to ensure that this request received due attention,” he said.
He added that the resurfacing works were carried out under the Indian New Village allocation by the Ministry of Local Government Development.
