A presentation was held at the Peace Gallery, located at No. 29A, Jalan Leong Sin Nam, 30300 Ipoh. Titled “Unravelling the Mystery and Unveiling the Legacy of Leong Boon Swee”, the presentation also featured the late Leong Boon Swee’s son, Mr. Phillip Leong, to share some words about his father.
The Peace Gallery was packed as Professor Gary Lit Yin Loong, historian and author of “If the Sky Were to Fall”, spoke on the activities of the historic lawman, entrepreneur and dedicated community leader, both during and after the Japanese occupation during Word War 2.
In addition, he shared the histories of events and actions that took place in Malaya during World War 2, emphasizing that while we should not forget the past, we can still forgive it.
