IPOH: The Perak State Education Department (JPN Perak) today expressed concern over an incident involving a student who reportedly fell from a school building in the state, saying the student’s welfare and that of the family remain a priority.

In a statement, JPN Perak said the student is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and wished the student a speedy recovery.
“The student is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. We pray for a swift recovery and for the family to be granted patience and strength in facing this difficult situation,” the department said.
JPN Perak said the case is currently under police investigation and that it is providing full cooperation to the authorities.
The department added that an internal investigation has also been initiated to review matters related to the incident.
It said steps have been taken to ensure the family receives the necessary assistance and support during this period.
JPN Perak also said psychosocial support is being provided to members of the school community affected by the incident.
The department urged the public to allow the authorities to conduct their investigations and to respect the family’s privacy and sensitivities.
“We appeal to the public to give space to the authorities to conduct their investigations and to respect the family’s privacy as they go through this challenging period,” it said.
