IPOH – A total of 170 asnaf families in the Tanjung Rambutan area recently received essential food supplies through the 252nd edition of the House-to-House Religious Lecture Programme organised by the Persatuan India Muslim Perak (PRIM).
The assistance included rice, groceries and fish to help ease the daily financial burden faced by the recipient families.
The rice was donated by Ariff Frozen Food, while groceries were contributed by Warong Khatong, with dinner sponsored by PRIM.
The programme, held at Masjid Jamek Tanjung Rambutan, was organised in collaboration with Ariff Frozen Food, Masjid Jamek Tanjung Rambutan and the Perak Islamic Religious Department (Da’wah Division).
The religious lecture was delivered by Muhammad Izzat Syafiq Mohammed Tarmizi, Head of the Protocol and Information Unit, Fatwa Division, Perak Mufti Department.
He delivered a lecture entitled “Maulidur Rasul”, highlighting the importance of strengthening Muslims’ love and devotion towards Prophet Muhammad.
The programme also received encouraging support from the local community, with residents attending the religious lecture and participating in the charitable initiative.
The organisers expressed their appreciation and gratitude to all parties who contributed and worked together to ensure the success of the programme.
Such initiatives are hoped to continue as a platform to assist those in need, strengthen religious knowledge and foster closer ties among members of the community.
