November 12 is the annual World Pneumonia Day.
Pneumonia is a respiratory disease affecting the lungs where a bacterial infection causes the small air sacs in the lungs (alveoli) to fill with pus and fluid, causing difficulty breathing due to limited oxygen intake.
Pneumonia can be life-threatening if left untreated, especially for high-risk people such as children, the elderly and individuals with comorbid illnesses.
Prevent Pneumonia by:
-Immunisation
-Balanced diet
-A clean and safe environment
