IPOH: A total of 48 Perak state police personnel received appreciation letters for various outstanding achievements in their duties in conjunction with the 217th Police Day commemoration.

Also awarded certificates of appreciation were 12 civilians, including strategic partners and media colleagues.

The awards were presented by the Perak Chief of Police, Datuk Sri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.

Also present were the Deputy Chief of Police Perak, Datuk Pahlawan Azizi Mat Aris, as well as department heads and other senior officers.

This year’s Police Day commemoration continues to uphold the same theme of ‘Police and Society, Inseparable’.

In his speech, Yusri also quoted the essence of the message from the Inspector General of Police and urged Perak PDRM personnel to renew their oath of allegiance to the king and country.

He further pledged to ensure the safety of the people and the sovereignty of the nation are always preserved.
