Making the Dean’s List

The determination to succeed in life spurred Fatimah Abdul Jamal, 21, to top Kolej Poly-Tech Mara’s (KTPM) Dean’s List for July 2013.

Kampar-born Fatimah, a final semester student pursuing a diploma-level course in Management and Multimedia, was thrilled by the accolade, having been the best student for the fifth consecutive time.

“The keys to my success are patience and support from my family. To achieve it, we need to be responsible and must possess a high level of discipline,” she told Ipoh Echo.The third of seven siblings, Fatimah maintained a CGPA score of 3.97 for five semesters. She is currently undergoing a 6-month training attachment with the Kampar District Council.

Mus’ab Khalili Rosli, 25, from Banting, shared in the merriment obtaining first-class honours in Multimedia Computing. He too qualified for the outstanding student award. “My secret to success is discipline, commitment and faith in the Almighty,” he remarked.

The award ceremony was held at a prominent hotel in Ipoh recently. It was to honour 95 students who made the July 2013 Dean’s List. The awards were for students who achieved an average semester grade point of 3.5 and above.

The Executive Councillor for Education, Science, Environment and Green Technology, Dr Muhammad Amin Zakaria and Chief Executive Officer of KPTM, Professor Dr Azali Mohamed graced the occasion.
