BATU GAJAH: The public is advised not to feed stray dogs to prevent an increase in the animal’s population.
The Batu Gajah District Council (MDBG) stated that such practices indirectly contribute to the rising number and breeding of stray dogs in public areas.


The statement further emphasized that the presence of large numbers of stray dogs can pose safety risks to residents, especially children and motorcyclists.
“The public is advised not to feed stray dogs as this practice indirectly contributes to the increase in population and breeding of stray dogs in public areas.
This may pose safety risks to residents, particularly children and motorcyclists,” said the statement.


Yesterday, MDBG conducted a stray dog-catching operation in several areas, including Batu Gajah Perdana, Metro Pengkalan, Taman Tronoh Akasia, Halaman Indah, Bandar Baru Siputeh, and Taman Tronoh Universiti.
A total of 18 stray dogs were successfully captured during the operation.
The operation was carried out to address safety concerns and public complaints regarding disturbances caused by stray dogs in residential neighborhoods.
