IPOH: Residents around Pasir Pinji are requesting that the authorities repaint the faded yellow box and install transverse bars at the junction of Jalan Queen and Jalan Sultan.
This is because, according to them, accidents frequently occur on the road, causing signboards in the area to topple.

They also hope to reduce the risk of danger to road users, as many reportedly drive at high speeds in that area.
“Several times, the stop sign here has fallen and been damaged due to accidents, but it has been repaired by the authorities.
“We hope the authorities can repaint the yellow box at the Jalan Queen and Jalan Sultan junction, which has faded.
“In addition to installing transverse bars to encourage vehicles to slow down,” they told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.
Transverse bars refer to white or yellow lines painted across the road, especially in areas where drivers need to slow down, such as near junctions or hazardous spots.
