IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) has taken swift action in response to a complaint received regarding a clogged and trash-filled drain in the Lengkok Gurduwara area, Nalli Park.
MBI Councillor Lawrence Palanisamy reported that the complaint, received on August 21, highlighted the dirty and blocked condition of the drain.

The situation not only caused a foul smell but also became a breeding ground for mosquitoes, raising concerns among local residents.
Acting on the complaint, MBI’s Public Works Department was mobilized, and cleaning work was carried out promptly.

As a result of this swift action, the affected drain has now been completely cleaned, thereby restoring the cleanliness and condition of the surrounding area.
MBI also expressed its appreciation to all parties involved in the successful completion of the cleaning work.
The public is also urged to maintain the cleanliness of their surroundings and report any sanitation issues to the local authorities.
Indeed, cleanliness is a shared responsibility for the well-being of the community.
