TELUK INTAN – A town hall session on the legalisation process of industrial activities along Jalan Tepi Sungai, Hutan Melintang, was held at the Teluk Intan Municipal Council (MPTI) multipurpose hall.
The session brought together local factory owners and operators to discuss measures to restructure industrial operations that have been running without full licensing and building plan approvals.

The event was officiated by Hutan Melintang assemblywoman Wasanthee Sinnasamy, who also served as a panellist during the session.
Also present were MPTI president Zairul Akmal Kasim and Hilir Perak District and Land Office Village Development Officer, Ong Yuen Fun, who assisted as interpreter.
According to a statement from MPTI’s Community and Public Relations Division, the session was organised to introduce a new approach towards restructuring industrial activities in a legal and orderly manner.
It also aimed to enhance regulatory compliance and enable authorities to plan development more sustainably based on accurate data.

Through the session, factory operators were briefed on streamlined procedures for the legalisation process, which are now facilitated via a transparent digital system. This is expected to accelerate the phased and systematic legalisation of industries.
The initiative is anticipated to benefit not only local authorities in development management but also factory operators, ensuring business continuity within a proper legal framework.
