IPOH: The 2025 Perak Ceramic Art Festival has been praised for successfully highlighting Perak’s cultural heritage, particularly ceramics—an iconic element of the state’s tourism appeal.
The festival has positioned Ipoh as a hub for cultural tourism.

Held under the theme “Heritage Inspires, Building a Madani Identity,” the festival featured over 50 ceramic artworks by local artists.
Visitors were drawn to various engaging activities such as ceramic technique workshops, dialogue sessions with experts and artists, hands-on demonstrations, as well as cultural exhibitions and traditional games.

The event was organised by the Perak Ceramic Art Association (PERSERA) in collaboration with Artworks Hotel Ipoh, and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Tourism Perak, UiTM Perak, Kraftangan Malaysia, and the Department of Culture and Arts (JKKN).
The festival also hosted the Perak Ceramic Art Symposium (PECAS), which brought together academics, researchers, and artists to strengthen the development of Malaysia’s ceramic industry.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Loh Sze Yee, Perak State Executive Councillor for Tourism, Industry, Investment, and Corridor Development.
