IPOH: The Bagan Datuk–Kampung Sejagop Bridge project in Perak, implemented by the Public Works Department (JKR), has received the Mino Best Project Award (Community Road Category).

The prestigious award was presented at the 17th Conference of the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA) in Goyang, Republic of Korea.
This recognition is not just a victory for a single project, but a triumph for the entire Malaysian engineering community.
It demonstrates that the capabilities and expertise of our local engineers and workforce are now on par with those of developed nations and recognized internationally.
This bridge project serves as an example of how infrastructure can unite communities by connecting two key districts in Perak—Hilir Perak and Perak Tengah.

Previously, the two areas were separated by a journey of over an hour. Now, the trip takes only seven minutes.
More importantly, the bridge’s design emphasizes environmental sustainability, user safety, and the well-being of the local community.
This success stands as proof that Malaysia is capable of building infrastructure that not only connects districts, but also unites lives and uplifts communities.
