IPOH: Amid the abundance of Ramadan buffet promotions this year, Excelsior Hotel Ipoh is drawing attention with prices starting from RM55 nett for adults and senior citizens, making it among the most affordable offerings in the city.

The four-star hotel presents its “Jom Iftar Citarasa Excelsior” theme from March 5 to March 20, 2026, at Dulang Coffee House on the ground floor, featuring a spread of traditional Perak Malay dishes.

Chef Faizul Yusuf said the highlight of this year’s buffet lies in its authentic Perak Malay flavours, which reflect the hotel’s culinary identity.

“Among the must-try dishes are Patin Masak Tempoyak and Telur Masak Lemak Cili Padi, which are our Ramadan signatures. The flavours are authentic and truly appetising,” he said.

Other offerings include roast lamb, satay, chicken rice, Ayam Masak Merah, minced beef curry, and a variety of traditional Malay kuih to complete the breaking of the fast experience.

He added that the hotel’s signature chicken rice remains a crowd favourite, with its fragrant rice and tender chicken best enjoyed with the house-made chilli sauce.

The buffet features four different menu sets that rotate daily, providing variety throughout the promotional period.

With a seating capacity of up to 160 diners at one time, Dulang Coffee House offers a comfortable setting for families and colleagues to break fast together. A surau is also available for guests’ convenience.

The buffet runs from 7.30 pm to 10 pm, priced at RM55 nett (adults/seniors) and RM45 nett (children aged 12 and below).
