HULU PERAK: Efforts to enhance the development of Orang Asli communities continue to be strengthened through the implementation of the One Village One CEO (1V1C) Programme.
The initiative is the result of a strategic collaboration between Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS) and the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA).
The programme was launched by Perak State Executive Councillor Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun, who represented the Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.

The event was also attended by representatives from government agencies, academics, Orang Asli community leaders and local residents.
Also held was the official opening of the RPS Dala Orang Asli Community Hall, symbolising the state government’s ongoing commitment to improving the well-being of the local community.
In his speech, Mohd Zolkafly emphasised that the 1V1C initiative is a new, high-impact approach aimed at developing competitive community leaders capable of managing rural economic potential in a more systematic and sustainable manner.

He said the programme not only creates economic development opportunities but also empowers the Orang Asli community through leadership training and strategic networking with educational institutions.
“This approach is expected to transform the rural development landscape by focusing on the community’s ability to be self-reliant,” he said.
Meanwhile, the construction of the RPS Dala Community Hall is viewed as a significant catalyst for social development, serving as a central hub for community activities.
The 1V1C programme is regarded as a progressive move towards strengthening inclusive development in Perak, particularly in ensuring that Orang Asli communities are not left behind in the nation’s development agenda.
