Students of SJK (C) Khea Hwa Matang Tapah introduced to police duties

IPOH, April 30 — A visit to a police station and the opportunity to see official vehicles up close became a valuable experience for pupils of SJK (C) Khea Hwa Matang Tapah during a visit to the Sentral Police Station here.

Also joining the visit were two accompanying teachers, two representatives from St Nivel Tour Sdn Bhd, as well as 19 students.

The main objective of the programme was to provide early exposure to the community, particularly school students, on the duties and responsibilities of the police force.

It also aimed to raise awareness on safety aspects and the proper handling of regulated equipment.

Throughout the visit, the students and teachers were briefed on the functions and scope of duties carried out by police personnel at the station.

They were also given the chance to get acquainted with assets used by the force such as official vehicles and equipment, including firearms.

The programme also allowed the students to observe the facilities provided more closely while gaining a better understanding of the important role played by the police in safeguarding public safety.
