MoU Signing for the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2026

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held earlier today at the Kinta Riverfront Hotel for the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2026.

Witnessed by guest of honor, YB Loh Sze Yee, the Perak State Executive Council (EXCO) of Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development, the MoU was signed between Ybhg. Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi, the Founder and Owner of the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant and Puan Sri Dato Sandra Lee, the representative for Timah Heritage Sdn. Bhd.

The signing formalises the appointment of Timah Heritage Sdn. Bhd. as the Exclusive National Final Organiser, and sets the stage for the highly anticipated Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2026 National Final, themed “Beauty Exploration: Discover the Heritage & Adventure of Promising Perak”.

 

This highly anticipated pageant is franchised by D’Touch International Sdn. Bhd., and will bring together 18 outstanding finalists from across Malaysia, competing for three distinguished national titles while showcasing the nation’s rich cultural diversity, heritage and tourism offerings. Beyond celebrating beauty and elegance, the pageant serves a greater purpose as a national tourism platform, aligned with Malaysia’s vision of promoting tourism, culture and friendship.

The pageant also acts as an important gateway to the international stage. Through participation in the World Finals, the winners will have the opportunity to present Malaysia’s unique heritage, culture and hospitality to a global audience, further strengthening the country’s international tourism presence.

The pageant will be held from 6 to 18 October 2026, with the National Final on 17 October at the Kinta Riverfront Hotel, Rafflesia Ballroom. Around 1000 people are expected to be in attendance for this momentous event.

Before that, the pre-event promotion will be held from 1 May to 30 July while the promotional event on social media will span from 1 August to 6 October.

The highlight of this pageant will be the crowning of three Miss Malaysia Tourism titles for Miss Malaysia Tourism 2026, Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year 2026 and Miss Malaysia Tourism Metropolitan 2026. The three winners will go on to represent Malaysia at their respective World Finals, serving as Tourism Ambassadresses and playing an active role in promoting Malaysia to international delegates and audiences.

This pageant will also have a strong focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). Part of the proceeds will go to charitable organisations such as orphanages and Disabled Adults and Youths Being Rewarded Encouraged and Accepted in Kinta (DAYBREAK).

Also, with Perak as the hosting state, the event is strategically designed to position Perak as a premier heritage and eco-tourism destination, showcasing iconic locations such as Ipoh Old Town and the Royal Belum Rainforest. Promoting local delicacies, arts and cultural traditions, and amplifying tourism visibility through media exposure and social platforms.

Currently, the pageant is supported by KLK Group, Mah Sing group and LS Medical Group.
