IPOH – A total of 1,000 participants are expected to take part in the MK Decade Run 2026, held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of MK Ambulance Service (MK Ambulance).
The MK Decade Run 2026 aims not only to promote a healthy lifestyle but also to strengthen ties between MK Ambulance and the local community.
MK Ambulance founder and owner, Mazhar Khadir, said the five-kilometre run would be held at Dataran Sunway here on October 10.
He said the run is scheduled to flag off at 7.30am.
Mazhar said the organisers expect around 2,000 visitors throughout the programme.
“Some 20 booths will be set up, including 10 food and beverage stalls, to add to the excitement of the event.
“Visitors will also have the opportunity to undergo free health screenings at the medical screening booth provided,” he said.
Mazhar said various side activities, including a Zumba session and lucky draws, would also be held for the whole family.
Every participant who successfully completes the run will receive a finisher’s medal as a token of appreciation.
He hoped the event would help foster a healthy lifestyle while encouraging the public to undergo regular health screenings.
