Marking a new milestone recently, they welcomed Shen Jai Confucius Institute (SJCI) into the family.

The establishment of SJCI here in Ipoh will be the first of its kind in Malaysia’s northern region and it has become a new addition to the many Confucius Institutes mushrooming locally and globally. Thus, this creates a huge network among all Confucius Institutes where SJCI is your bridge to China and beyond, where education is concerned.

The Art of Chinese Calligraphy

“I have always championed the cause of equality for Mandarin, the mother-tongue among the Chinese locally because it is the root of the Chinese culture. I have always been passionate about Chinese education throughout my life and hence, we need to champion Chinese education to ensure that it lasts from generation to generation.” said Mr. Foo Wan Thot.

SJCI aims to focus on Chinese culture and language and has prepared many eye-opening opportunities and programs catering to people from all walks of life and ethnicity. Providing training to teachers and conducting proficiency tests (HSK Examination) are just an example of some of its initiatives. In addition to that, Non-native Chinese speakers will be able to learn this language from scratch.

For 2023, SJCI promises a variety of presentations in the fields of culture and arts exclusively for Perakians and those from the northern region. Some of the activities planned are forums, Chinese Calligraphy classes, Arts and Craft to Chinese Musical, just to name a few. For those in the corporate sectors, SJCI is the perfect platform for those looking to expand into China.
