GOPENG: Who says Orang Asli school students cannot achieve success on the international stage?
That pride was proven by the Orang Asli student robotics team from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pos Raya, who brought honor to Perak as the state’s sole representative at the 27th International Robot Olympiad (IRO) 2025 held at the Gold Coast, Australia.
With the competition theme “Space Robot,” the team not only competed but also reshaped global perceptions of the capabilities of Orang Asli students.
From the interior to the international stage, their creativity, courage, and hard work prove that great talent can emerge from anywhere—when given opportunity and trust.
Out of five Malaysian teams competing (from Johor, Perak, and Pahang), the Orang Asli students succeeded in winning five medals.
These included one gold medal (Creative Category Idea Junior), one bronze medal (Creative Category Technic Junior), and three technical robot medals across various creative categories.
The SK Pos Raya students who brought pride to the nation are Fairussahil a/l Faizam, Jenita a/p Dimin, and Nurul Azfieka Dahlia Mazuki.
The SK Pos Raya team was guided by their coach and accompanying teacher, Mohd Nizamuddin Ramli.
This achievement delivers a clear message: with inclusive education, proper support, and belief in potential, our children can become the innovators of the future.
