Hospital Fatimah marked Nurses’ Day on 12 May 2026, with a warm celebration dedicated to the nurses who continue to serve patients with care, discipline and compassion.
The celebration brought together nurses from across the hospital for a meaningful day of appreciation, fellowship and well-deserved recognition.

The morning programme carried a cheerful funfair atmosphere, with stalls selling gifts for nurses, a variety of desserts and interactive games specially arranged for the nursing team. The lively setting gave nurses a chance to enjoy a break from their daily duties while spending time with colleagues in a joyful environment.
One of the meaningful highlights of the day was the presentation of tokens of appreciation to all nurses, in recognition of their dedication and service to the hospital and its patients.
In the evening, the celebration continued with a formal programme. It began with a welcoming speech by the Chairperson of the organising committee, Sr Martha Antonimuthu, followed by addresses from the Medical Director, Dr Liaw Kok Toon, and the Director of Nursing, Ms Thean Bee Hoong.

The programme also featured a dance performance by the nurses, the recitation of the Nursing Pledge and a cake cutting ceremony. Adding to the excitement of the evening, more than 30 lucky draw prizes were presented. The grand prize was a 3 day, 2 night stay at Grand Lexis Hotel, Port Dickson.
The celebration concluded with dinner, bringing the day to a close on a warm and memorable note.
For Hospital Fatimah, the occasion was a simple yet meaningful way to honour the commitment of its nurses, whose work remains an essential part of patient care and healing.
