Bedridden Patients and OKU Received Vaccination

More than 30 members of the public including bedridden patients, the elderly and differently-abled persons (OKU) around Hulu Kinta have received their first dose of vaccination through the Outreach Vaccination Programme of the Mobile Vaccination Unit of the North Brigade General Operations Force (PGA) Hulu Kinta.

Council Member of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) for Zone 1 (Hulu Kinta), Dato’ Mazlan Abd Rahman recommended that residents around Hulu Kinta and Tambun Parliamentary Constituency who have health issues and are unable to go to the vaccination centre (PPV) to apply for vaccination at home.

“This outreach program can help those who really need it and also assist the government’s mission to achieve herd immunity.

“We are very grateful to the PGA North Brigade Clinic that has been working hard to vaccinate the public from house to house for the past three weeks,” he stated today (July 31).

Meanwhile, PGA Brigade Welfare Officer Sub Inspector Saidu Kenchi Mohamad said his party will continue the programme until October.

“Almost 100 percent of PGA Ulu Kinta residents, including contractors and grocery store traders, have completed the first dose of vaccination.

“We have also received vaccine supplies from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and when the PGA Ulu Kinta residents have been fully vaccinated, we might open it to the public,” he explained.

Earlier, Mazlan observed the staff of PGA North Brigade Clinic who carried out the task of inoculating the ones with health problems, including the elderly, in Tambun and Kampung Cik Zainal, Chemor.
